Three generations of our family have tended to the land. We have designed and decorated the interior of the home, and grown up with the many species of trees that cover the landscape. The wilderness we trampled through in rubber boots as kids became the retreat we now maintain, ever dreaming of its possibilities, as our grandparents once did.
My name is Catherine, your host and the property manager. An artist and designer, I strive to follow in my grandma Peggy’s footsteps in how she stylized this home and surrounding gardens and landscapes. Her artwork is displayed throughout the house, as is her mother’s before her, and some of my own now, too.
Our guests come to us looking for a perfect place for their families and friends together, and they tend to return again and again. This is a place that allows you to make it your own, to become a part of the history.
Whether reuniting friends from college, or families that are spread out across continents, old memories are celebrated here while new traditions are made.
Infants return as toddlers, already with nicknames for the place, and then as growing kids ready for adventures that keep them busy outdoors all day long.
We brought tons of activities to keep everyone busy over the weekend as we were a large group with varied interests but we barely touched them! There were so many nice spots to sit that accommodated all 11 of us that we spent most of the weekend just catching up and laughing.
We cater to large groups and small. It is an ideal space for families and friends to get together.
